What is O.W.N.?
O.W.N. is just a website to encourage saints and point sinners to Christ and His purpose.
God's Glory
We exist to glorify God. David wrote in the Psalm of Thanksgiving,
"Tremble before Him, all the earth;
Indeed, the world is firmly established, it will not be moved.
Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice;
And let them say among the nations, “The Lord reigns.”
Let the sea roar, and all it contains;
Let the field exult, and all that is in it.
Then the trees of the forest will sing for joy before the Lord;
For He is coming to judge the earth. "
Everyday the birds of the air, the critters of the fields, and the creatures of the sea, give glory to God by being who He created them to be. They sing songs in the trees, they dance in the grass, and they leap from the depths of the ocean; all to worship the God who created them!
That is our hope in Jesus Christ! That we would bring God the glory of being who He has called us to be by His grace! Let us lift our voices in the name of Jesus Christ that God gets the glory He alone deserves!
Orphans Widows Neighbors
In some way we all fall into one those categories of people whom God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to save from the isolation and wickedness of sin. God gives abundant grace to people who are poor in spirit, broken, and vulnerable. He wants us to share His burden for broken people as broken people chosen by God for good work. He wants us to make clear who He is so that people see they are dead in the Law. In proclaiming Jesus Christ dead sinners can see that His mercy is what saves and can repent and believe in Christ to save them.
The mission of O.W.N. is:
- To encourage and inspire believers in Jesus Christ to preach the gospel and reach lost sinners.
Who is your master?
Jesus said, "No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth." Luke 16: 13
When Jesus walked on earth He didn't promise money, houses, comfort, or retirement. In fact it was the lack of His worldliness that caused the eyes of so many to be blind to Him. He draws men and women by His Spirit, not by what appeals to the flesh, and He hasn't changed.
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3: 23)
"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5: 8)
